Thery’re gonna have to work harder next season!

According to the Wall Street Journal, the home of Gossip Girl, the CW network is tanking.

The CBS/Time Warner co-venture lost 28% of its target audience of 18 to 34 year olds so far this season.

And, its ratings during this month’s “sweeps” period — the all-important measure upon which future advertising rates are set — are down about 22%.

According to an insider, if things don’t turn around dramatically one of the big partners is going to walk away.

The WSJ also points out that part of CW’s problem is that the demo its targeting spends a lot of its leisure time on the internet. Good for us!

And, the Writer’s Strike probably hastened the departure of the demo from traditional TV to the net.

Perez may even get behind the turntables and pick some songs for the DJs to spin.

We just snapped these exclusive pics of our girl Brit at a public beach in Samara, which is on the Guanacaste Peninsula on Costa Rica’s pacific coast. She’s currently on day two of her vacation with Mel Gibson, and it looks like she’s enjoying the sun and sand and getting a killer tan.

And that’s Brit’s agent, Jason Trawick, with her on the ATV! Is sun and sand with your client part of the job description? Is this business or pleasure???

I’m pretty sure Jess got this get-up at Kiki de Montparnasse yesterday during her sister’s bachelorette party. And the girl looks H-O-T!!! How can Tony resist??!!

Jess left the Roosevelt Hotel today around 1 pm and met up with Tony at Katsuya for a sushi lunch. After about an hour, the two emerged and Tony got behind the wheel of JS’s Range Rover and drove her home.

Will Smith is behind the lease for the New Village Academy in Calabasas, California, which will be an independent pre-kindergarten through sixth-grade school opening this fall.

The school’s motto is “Spiral Up!” and it plans to renovate the new school site with new play equipment and new furniture, as well as paint and carpeting for the little kiddies.

No word yet on whether or not Smith’s kids will be enrolled at the school, as calls from Smith’s rep were not immediately returned.
First Oprah, then Madonna, and now Will? Which celeb will open their own school next?

…doesn’t keep the paps away - although Matthew McConaughey probably wishes it would!

We caught the soon-to-be dad, Matthew McConaughey out at a studio in Brentwood yesterday after spotting him running earlier that morning. Although the super-hunk declined to answer any of our photogs’ questions about his unborn child, he was still pleasant and courteous as he walked by chowing down on a Granny Smith. Thanks anyway, Matthew!
